Rough Times With Husband

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

My sister called me the other day and told me that things have been a little rough between her and her husband.   They have had a few fights in recent days, and it has gotten so bad that they have decided to take a Marriage Therapy course from the local university.  They are hoping that it will help them understand one another a little bit better, so that they can effectively communicate with one another.  I am hoping that it will help them as well.  I would absolutely hate to see the kids grow up in a broken home.  It just would not be good for them!

Eating Correctly For Long Ironman Training Sessions

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

An easy way to estimate how many calories you need say on a long bike 3 hours is to do the following. If you estimate that you need 700 calories an hour for a medium to hard ride then you need 2,100 for a three-hour bike. Due to the intensity of the bike eating that many calories would be impossible as to divert blood to your digestive system instead of the much-needed free reverse trace cell phones muscles would result in you dramatically slowing down. It is therefore widely accepted that you require (between 30-50% of this in energy)So 600- 1,000 calories spread over 3 hours equates to 200-333 calories per hour.

A Train-Themed Birthday Present For a Deserving Child

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

I work in an elementary school, and our social worker refers families in need to us so that we can get donations for them for food and necessities. Last month we got a referral for a child whose parents had both been ill, and they had no source of income. The little boy had a birthday coming up, and we wanted to get him something. His teacher told us that he really liked to talk about wooden Thomas trains, and we decided that we would get him one. The staff pooled their resources, and we bought him an entire set! It was heartwarming to see how happy he was.

I Found Great Cheap Car Insurance!

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Last month I got my renewal statement for my car insurance, and it had increased by quite a bit. I called my agent, and she said that it was a general increase across the board, not as a result of anything that I had done.

I still wasn’t satisfied, and I went online and got several quotes for cheap car insurance. I was very surprised by the quotes that I received. They were far lower than what I would have been paying with my old company, and I changed insurance companies. Now my monthly premium is affordable and I feel much better about where my money is going.

Delivered from Bulimia

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Ever since I’ve been a teenager, I’ve struggled with an eating disorder. I never felt pretty or skinny enough. One day I hit rock bottom and a friend of mine encouraged me to call Indianapolis Christian Counselors. I had nowhere else to turn so I made the call. After meeting with my Christian counselor for over 2 years, I feel like a new person! I haven’t struggled with bulimia for 2 years now. I can now see that I am worthy to be loved and that there is a loving God who created me in His image. I’m so glad that I got the help that I needed. I’m forever changed!

My brother’s birthday present

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

My brother is a very different person and most people just love his company. Although I don’t really like to be with him a lot, he is my big brother and I love him for the way he is. I didn’t really know what he would like for his birthday and I remembered that he liked accessories, especially silver accessories. I decided to buy him sterling silver cufflinks that were shaped like ducks and I was happy that he loved them and wore them often and he also called his lucky charm. I also learned that cufflinks would make very good presents.
