Stretch marks’
Saturday, September 26th, 2009Stretch Marks may develop on various parts of the body. These develop when the dermis gets stretched out. Dermis is the second layer of your skin. The stretching may be caused due to different reasons. When the dermis gets stretched, the outer layer of the skin which is known as the epidermis also gets stretched that makes it translucent. This leads to stretch marks and these stretch marks can be seen very clearly as they appear as reddish purple lines. Once these stretch marks start fading, they result in white color. This fading of the color is a result of the disruption in the production of natural collagen.
