Road Accidents and Wreckers

Operators of wreckers are the very first ones to be called upon whenever there are road accidents that involve vehicle smash ups and the like. A wrecker will most likely sweep away debris especially glass and other objects that may harm other passersby and drivers. Gasoline spills and other hazardous chemicals and objects are cleared from the major thoroughfare in order to allow the unhampered and safe passage of other vehicles. The damaged vehicles will be towed to their designated repair shops but if the state of the car is irreparable, then they are immediately transported to the wrecking yards for salvaging. Wrecking yards are large lots where hundreds of inoperable vehicles are put into and piled on top of each other to save storage space. Those who work on wrecking yards which are sometimes called salvage yards spend most of their working time identifying still usable parts of a wrecked vehicle.
