A Retro 1950′s Dinner Party Theme
When you think of dinner parties in general, you’re probably imagining a beautifully coifed woman dressed in a frilly apron and a full skirt, right? She may be serving cocktail weenies on tootpicks, arranging the doilies in the living room, or helping her dashing husband mix an expert Tom Collins. While modern dinner parties don’t look anything like this, I love the idea of a retro style 1960′s theme for a fun dinner party. Have all of your guests dress in 60′s fashions, and serve all of those famous retro favorites: beef wellington, cocktail weenies, baked alaska, etc. And accompany it all with great 60′s music and lots of classic retro cocktails.
