Causes of Jaw Pain and How to Treat

jaw pain could be a symptom of something serious. Sufferers would say that the pain is painful that it somehow mistaken as severe migraine. Women sufferers would say that the pain is as if they are giving birth three times a day without anesthesia. Imagine how that would affect a woman’s performance at work or at school.

There are things that should be considered by the person suffering from this discomfort. First, there should be a consideration of the teeth condition. If there was a recent extraction of a tooth with filling or that already has an abscess, this might also cause pain in the jaw. In some cases, when there is a brace that has been placed this could also cause pain in the jaw.

It is also advised that anyone who may have been having pain in the jaw should see an EENT (EYE, EAR, NOSE and THROAT) specialist. Having a check up with an EENT would give you an idea of what your condition may be.

Another consideration why you might be suffering from pain in your jaw is you might have had an accident before or you might have slight arthritis already. As you know, arthritis cause inflammation around the jaw area which might be causing the pain in your jaw.
