Replacing a Gable Attic Fan

Did you know that heat can easily become trapped in the top part of your home, raising the temperature inside to a steaming 150 degrees?  I didn’t know either until the efficiency of my air conditioner came into question one year.  I ended up needing a new gable attic fan, which was certainly a relief because it did not mean that I needed a replacement air system.  It was far less expensive to put in a new unit like that rather than something expensive like an A/C.  I could not believe that something so small and out of sight could make such a huge difference.
