New Health Insurance Policy is Cheaper than Cobra Premium
My husband was laid off from his job, and we were told that he could use the cobra benefits to keep his insurance a little longer if we wanted. The cobra premiums were outrageous. There was no way that we could afford to keep his current policy. I searched online for affordable health insurance and found a couple of websites that offer online quotes and comparisons. I recognized the names of the insurance companies which made me feel a little better about buying a policy. I showed two of the quotes to my husband who agreed that we were better off getting a new policy instead of paying the cobra premiums.
