Possibly Switching Careers
I recently ran into a friend of mine. After speaking for a few minutes, I asked him how the construction industry is going. He said, with all the new regulations being put into place by the EPA, he is seriously considering switching careers. This shocked me as he has been in the industry for over 20 years. He said he is now being required to purchase EPA Lead Pollution Insurance for NARI Members as he sometimes works on homes that were built before 1978. This isn’t a common occurrence for him, but that does not matter. One lawsuit could wipe out all of his hard work. I can see his point. It’s sad when so much insurance is required to protect you against something that may never happen.
