I am ordering a booklet of travellers cheques today online. I remembered the last time I travelled, several years ago, I had to run to a high street travel agent for the booklets. I remember having so much to do before the trip that I almost forgot to carry out this task before I was scheduled to leave for the trip. I ended up getting the best exchange rates at that time but if I had waited to get the foreign currency until later in the week things would have been a little different. There were many political upheavals during that time and the currency rate seemed to vary wildly from day to day.
