Yesterday, while I was casually listening to the 4:30 news program on my path home from my job, I overheard some news that actually seized my complete attention. The lawmakers in Washington are campaigning to prohibit all payday lending at once. As the newsman was delivering the report, I started to become enraged! The uninformed political leaders are faulting Payday Loans businesses for generating financial perplexities for the indigent and they discernibly believe that pay day loan customers should be taken care of. I thought to myself, that it would be a beneficial thought if they would likewise go after banks that collect immense charges for bounced checks, electric and water businesses that compile late fees and fees to re-connect service, and mega credit card companies that suddenly declare unjust interest rates.
