Supporting a Nondiscrimination Ordinance
After everything we’ve heard about the church supposedly hating homosexuals because of our belief that marriage should be between a man and a woman, it just made Mormon history (possibly) by supporting an antidiscrimination ordinance to protect those who have same sex attraction. I hope people will understand better that we don’t hate homosexuals and that our reasons for opposing same sex marriage are valid. I don’t think there are any examples in mormon history of the church “hating” homosexuals. It’s the behavior that has been the issue, not just because it has a negative impact on society, but because of the disintegration of the family bringing about calamities.
