Hobbies Keep Kids in Line
My sons are definitely hooked on snowboarding. I find it great, actually. I would so much rather that they were hooked on sport than hooked on drugs and partying to pass their time. They have incentive to keep themselves out of trouble, because they know if they get into or cause trouble, their boarding privileges will be taken away. If it gets bad enough, we’ve even threatened to take away their most prized possessions: their k2 snowboards! I think the mere mention of the threat is enough to keep them in line. It might be harsh, but if it works, who’s to complain? I certainly won’t!
